Finance Minister signs World Bank funded projects totaling $210 m

Finance Minister, Dr Kwabena Duffuor on Tuesday signed three world-bank funded projects totaling 210 million dollars to support the bid to sustain the country’s economic growth and maintain its middle income status.

These include the 100 million Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project, the 60 million West African Agriculture Productivity Program and the 50 million Urban Water project.

Whilst the Commercial Agriculture Project seeks to promote public private partnerships in the Accra Plains the SADA Zone, the West African Agricultural Productivity Program seeks to scale-up the use of improved technologies in Ghana’s priority agricultural commodity areas aligned with that of the sub-region.

The 50 million Urban Water Project, is also to support the ongoing Urban Water Project, being financed by the Bank with a 103 million dollar grant.
