Tonight’s MTN Premier League game between Red Lions and Royal Leopard has been called off.

This follows the demise of Red Lions Director Busi Dlamini, who succumbed to death this morning. Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) PRO Zwelonke ‘Sport’ Dlamini told MTNFootball.com that the game has been called off due to reasons beyond their control.

“We would like to announce that the game that was scheduled for the Mavuso Sports Centre has been called off due to reasons beyond our control. The game will be scheduled in a date yet to be announced,” he said.

Dlamini apologised to the fans for the postponement. The death has sent shock waves around the football fraternity, forcing the PLS to make a quick decision to accommodate the mourning Red Lions family.

Red Lions PRO Mbuso Shongwe also confirmed the postponement of the game. The game was slated for a 6:30pm kick off time at Mavuso Sports Centre.
