The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), is collaborating
with various institutions in the Upper West Region to ensure that there
is peace during and after this year’s elections.
As part of this move, youth groups and political party executives are
being involved in advocacy campaigns to drum home the essence to live in
peace and avoid all violent acts.
The Executive Director of Action for Sustainable Development, Osman
Kanton, who is involved in the programme told GBC’s Radio Ghana that
escalating violence in the region will jeopardise its stability.
Therefore, there is the need for all citizens to demonstrate a
commitment towards peace.
