Prez Mahama: God Has Already Declared NDC Winner Of 2012 Polls…It’ll Be One-touch

President John Dramani Mahama has once again expressed optimism that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) party will secure a one-touch victory in the December General Elections.

Addressing party activists at Agona Swedru on his way to attend a festival at Agona Nyakrom in the Central Region, President Mahama said God has already blessed the NDC to win the 2012 polls.

“Because of God’s blessings for NDC we will not go for a second round and I have a strong faith in God that we would win the elections in the first round…The election is going to be one touch and I know that the way you have all received me here, I know that God has already declared the winner and I know that is going to be the NDC,” he said.

The Party members had gathered quite early in the morning at the Swedru Town Hall to catch a glimpse of the President who was expected to make a whistle stop to interact with them and encourage them on the forthcoming general election.

President Mahama, who seized the opportunity to introduce NDC parliamentary aspirants in the area to the people, also cautioned supporters of the NDC against any acts of violence and mayhem; before, during and after the elections.

“we NDC members are well prepared to win the general election and we therefore do not need to do anything that will derail the forward march to victory, come December this year,” he added.
