Henriquez: one step at a time

Manchester United signing Angelo Henriquez says he will have to take it one step at a time to break into the first team.

The 18-year-old has made the move to Old Trafford after just one season as part of the senior set-up at Universidad de Chile.

He is regarded as an exciting prospect for the years to come but is unlikely to feature heavily for the Red Devils in the immediate future.

Henriquez is fully aware that he is not yet ready to challenge for a place in Sir Alex Ferguson’s starting XI, and will not become agitated if he has to remain patient.

The teenager will instead concentrate on working hard and getting strong enough for the rigours of the Premier League.

“I’m training and looking to get an opportunity,” he told Radio Bio Bio.

“There are many things I have to improve to reach the level of Manchester United forwards.

“I won’t ask to be given some minutes and nor will I pretend I’m better than I really am.

“I have to go step by step. I have to adapt and improve physically.”
