Nyanga hails players’ character

Nyanga Hlophe, Coach of Mbabane Swallows is lifted by his players

Mbabane Swallows coach Nyanga Hlophe hailed his players for showing character as they marched into the final of the PLS/Swazi Telecom Ultimate Cup final.

The team will face Young Buffaloes, who beat Mbabane Highlanders 2-1 in the later fixture.

In an interview with MTNFootball.com this morning, Hlophe said the players were ready to win despite the fact that they did not play to his expectations.

“We showed great character, as we ensured that we got the results even when things did not go our way. We were far from our best, but still the players wanted to win, which is important,” he said.

Hlophe made special mention of the vastly improved Mike Mohammed, who he said is settling in well at the club. The Manzini Wanderers reject has scored in four successful games since joining the red and white ensemble.

Meanwhile, his counterpart at Manzini Sundowns Golding Dube said his team came into the party very late.

“We conceded unnecessary goals, and by the time we started playing it was too late. The focus will be on the league,” he said.
