The Central African Republic-born DJ/Producer reworks a selection of songs, adding his distinct Ancestral Soul stamp, a sound with which he tributes the spiritual power of music, and has featured on labels like Osunlade’s Yoruba Records and Bob Sinclar’s Yellow Productions.
Boddhi, now label owner of Offering Records, joined house music’s elite after being chosen by Grammy award-winning producer Louie Vega in 2008 for in-house duties within the Vega franchise – a producer for Vega Records and a resident for Vega DJ tours.
Invocation his debut full-length album released in 2011/2012 on Vega Records/BBE Music gives a clear idea of where Boddhi Satva is taking audiences: a generous and extravagant music that tells real life stories as well as makes people give their whole self up to limitless and code-stripped styles of dance – ritualistic, erotic, ecstatic, jubilant.
