Prez John Mahama Addresses Nation On Wednesday

Contrary to media reports that President John Dramani Mahama will speak to Ghanaians today, Peacefmonline.com can confirm that the president’s address will rather be on Wednesday.

John Jinapor, Spokesperson to the President, who confirmed this in an interview on Peace FM‘s “Kokrokoo” Morning Show, disclosed that the address, which will be transmitted live on the state-owned GTV and Radio Ghana, will also be broadcast on other private television and radio stations at about 8pm.

John Jinapor, who stopped short of taking the wind out of the sails of the president, said the address will focus on issues of topical concern.

This will be the first time the 54-Year-Old President will be addressing the nation directly since he was sworn into office as President Of Ghana.

Mr Jinapor also touched on speculations that President Mahama had decided to reshuffle his ministers.

According to him, the president has not taken any such decision and therefore urged all Ministers of State not to be detracted by the rumours and speculation of any ministerial reshuffle. He also asked Ghanaians to go about their work and not allow themselves to be disrupted by the rumours.

“The President has also not received any resignation letter from the Chief of Staff, Mr John Henry Martey Newman, as being speculated by a section of the media…We have just finished the funeral of the late President Mills. The President is only committed to working to serve Ghanaians and bring about development,” he added.
