Mazembe Hold Close Door Camp in Zambia

TP Mazembe has setup a one week closed-door training camp in Zambia ahead of their CAF Champions League away game to Zamalek in Cairo.


Mazembe’s Zambian representative Andre Mtine told MTNFootball.com that the team will fly into Ndola on Tuesday.


“The team will train from an undisclosed location on the Copperbelt and the camp is not open to the press,” Mtine said.


This will be Mazembe’s second training camp in the Copperbelt region of Zambia where they earlier setup temporal base in Kitwe.


Mazembe lasted camped in Zambia in May ahead of their Champions League pre-group stage meeting away to El Merreikh of Sudan.Mazembe are currently second in Group A on four points from three matches.


This is after recording their first pool stage win on Saturday when they beat bottom placed and winless Zamalek 2-0 in Lubumbashi.


Mazembe exchanged places with Bekerum Chelsea who are also on four points who tumbled 4-1 away to leaders Al Ahly of Egyptian on the same date.


Al Ahly lead Group A on maximum nine points from three games.
