PAC warns members against abuse of police e-mail

Police Assistance Committee, PAC, yesterday, warned against the abuse of the Nigeria Police Force’s new email address, [email protected] recently released to the public by the Inspector General of Police.

Director General of PAC, Dr. Martins Oni, who issued the warning while addressing members on how to apply themselves to the usage of the police email, said members of the public should not give false alarm to the Police or other security agencies through the email address.

Oni also urged the members comprising tradesmen and artisans to adhere strictly to the areas adduced by the IGP that could warrant the usage of the email and also to guard against being misinformed or wrongly instigated by members of the public to pass on information which they are not clear about either to the police or other security agencies.

The body commended the IGP over this initiative and other public interest policies the police boss has introduced to carry the  members of the public along in the bid to confront security challenges in the country.
