Dr. Tobigah jabs Hassan Ayariga over NDP comments

PNC Flagbearer Aspirant, Hassan Ayariga

Dismissed member of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Dr. Somtin Tobigah has taken a swipe at the party’s flag bearer, Hassan Ayariga over his recent comments on the ruling National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) internal wrangling.

He noted with deep concern that the PNC flagbearer was doing propaganda for the ruling NDC rather than concentrating on building the party structures.

Hassan Ayariga in an interview on Accra based Peace Fm, on Wednesday, asserted that the Rawlingses were solidly behind the formation of the new National Democratic Party (NDP).

Speaking to Citi News, Dr. Tobigah insisted that the PNC flag bearer has no business talking about the NDC and challenged him to concentrate on propagating the PNC ideologies for victory in December.

“Certain issues that are not the main focus of the party should not drag us into them and we should try as much as possible to concentrate on the PNC agenda that is the agenda of Dr. Limann.”

According to him, Dr. Limann’s agenda of forming the PNC was to create the platform for the development of the underprivileged in society.

“The agenda of Dr. Limann in forming the PNC was that he found out that the PNC would be used as a platform for the development of the under dock, the rural poor, the traders, the farmers, the teachers and the Zongo communities so that their matters can be catered for and that is the main focus of the PNC.”

He cautioned, “Anybody including Hassan Ayariga should appreciate this development; we need to refocus on the ideas of Dr. Limann so that we can push the party’s agenda forward and we should not try to reach out to other areas which will not form part of the PNC’s approach to national development or national politics.”
