Over 10,000 roses were sent to Michael Jackson’s final resting place today — marking his 3-year death anniversary — all courtesy of some very devoted fans.
A MJ fan group based in L.A. tells TMZ … they used social media sites to raise money from fans all over the world for the memorial project … finally collecting over $30k.
All that green bought a lot of flowers … over 10,000 roses were delivered to Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA today — where the King of Pop was laid to rest in 2009 — all to honor the late-singer on the anniversary of his death.
What’s more — we’re told the roses will be put to good use and recycled after today … over half will be sent to senior centers and other places where they can be used to make people happy.
Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 … he was 50.
