Save the Environment Project and Green Africa Newspaper launched

Save the Environment Project (STEP), an environmental conservation initiative has been launched in Accra with a colourful ceremony at the Sun Lodge Hotel, which was attended by proponents of environmental protection among others.  

The event, which also saw the launch of the Green Africa Newspaper, was attended by notable personalities such as  His Majesty Osahene Ofei Kwasi Agyeman IV; the Kurontihene of Akuapem, His Majesty Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III; the La Mantse, Mrs. Gladys Osae Addo; the first African headmistress of the Ridge Church School and Chairman Emeritus of the Project, Mr. Fredua Agyeman; Director of the Ministry of Environment Science and Technology, Hon. Hajia Hajara Musah Ali; Member of the Council of State, Mr. Yaw Asamoah; C.E.O of Pro Vision Ghana and a tall list of others.

Nana Kwadwo Owusu, the Founder and Executive Chairman, speaking on behalf of the project, drew attention to the need for a concerted effort towards environmental conservation highlighting how no member of the human race and occupant of the earth thereof could sit down unconcerned as we live in an ‘inter-connected world’ where the crisis of environmental degradation brought its resultant hazards directly to the doorsteps of each and every person in an inter-connected cycle; i.e. in one way or the other.

Mr. Fredua Agyeman, Director of the Ministry of Environment Science and Technology and a guest speaker at the event highlighted the evident efforts and commitment of the Ministry of Environment Science and Technology towards achieving an enhanced environment in Ghana and pledged the continued support of the Ministry for the project.
