Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has stated that Brazilian midfielder Sandro “looked a real monster” in their 2-0 win over Blackburn on Sunday.
The former Internacional man was in fine form playing alongside Luka Modric at the heart of the Spurs midfield and left the field to a standing ovation in the final minute of the match, with his manager lauding the 23-year-old’s performance.
“Sandro was fantastic,” Redknapp told the club’s official website.
“That first half performance was amazing – power, strength – he was top-class.
“He also hit the crossbar with an absolute worldy of a shot.
“He’s had injuries this season, but he was brilliant in midfield. He looked a real monster of a player. That’s good for us.”
