Media Officer of Kaduna United, Abdulrahman Tonga has disclosed that the team will not cease from its youth development programme.

Making this known to Inside Out Premier Leaguefrom the teams’ base in Kaduna, Tonga heaped praises on the contribution of Maurice Cooreman to the clubs’ structure, stressing that he (Cooreman) made the structure viable venture.

He also noted that the new set of young players in the team will make great impact in the league before the end of the season.

“Maurice Cooreman is a businessman that has contributed to the growth of the Nigerian Premier League.

He made his mark with us and got a good offer from other clubs which we (Kaduna United) felt it was okay for him to leave, so allowed him to go.

“We had a structure as a club to nurture players from the cradle not just buying big names that can’t play the game. Cooreman actually helped in making the structure what it is today and we have been able to produce another set of young players that will make name for themselves and the club in the league. By the end of the season, the team will prove book makers wrong,” Tonga said.

Thomas not regretting Akwa Utd move

Akwa United shot stopper, Femi Thomas has said that he has no regrets leaving Ocean Boys Football Club of Brass.

Thomas reiterated to Inside Out Premier Leaguethat Akwa United are not failures and would end up in the top three at the end of the season.

“Most people believe we are underdogs but we have proven them wrong by squeezing ourselves into the top seven after 17 games with two outstanding ties which if we pick maximum points, we will leapfrog into the top three. According to the club’s standard, we have had a good outing this first half of the season.

“I don’t have any regrets moving from Ocean Boys to Akwa United and I don’t intend to move out of Uyo for now despite being court by many clubs in the league. All I know now is that, I am not going to any club this break.

“I must say that it has been God that has been with us. I really want to thank the State government for the massive support in making us have the best of remuneration so we can give our best on the pitch of play,” Thomas said.

Lobi close door on new players

Speaking to Inside Out Premier Leaguefrom the teams’ camp in Makurdi, Atom said, “We are not signing new players as those in the team are good. All we want to do is to further blend them more during the break. More so, those that went for trails, Chimobi Nworgu and Blessing Okardi are back.”

On players’ departure from the team, the club mouth piece said, “for now, no player is going anywhere. We are satisfied with their output during the first stanza, if the need arises, we will only send such a player to the junior team,” Atom added.

He registered his grievance on the continuous depravity in officiating. “Our referees are dishonest and are not making the league to grow. I am pained by the  incessant ill-discharge of their duties,” Atom stressed.
