Let the wild rumpus start!
First Dog Bo joined President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, along with their daughters Malia and Sasha, for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. During the Storytime Stage portion of this year’s Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move!-themed event, the President read aloud the Maurice Sendak classic, Where the Wild Things Are.
While the President seemed to be roaring his terrible teeth and rolling his terrible eyes for the audience, Bo sat quietly at Mrs. Obama’s feet.
To fit this year’s theme, the Easter Egg Roll featured a fitness activities (with basketballs imprinted with the President’s face) and cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs.
But it wouldn’t have been an Easter Egg Roll without a few spoons and eggs going down the South Lawn, and President Obama was at the ready to help a little friend scoot his egg along the grass.
