Martin Caceres will make his first Serie A start since rejoining Juventus in January in Wednesday night’s crucial clash with Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara.
With the Bianconeri having lost both Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli to injury, the Uruguay international will start alongside the recalled Leonardo Bonucci in the heart of the defence.
Elsewhere, Arturo Vidal returns alongside Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Pirlo in Juve’s three-man midfield after sitting out last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Chievo through suspension.
Up front, meanwhile, Simone Pepe replaces Emanuel Giaccherini on the right wing, while Marco Borriello has been preferred to Alessandro Matri in the centre.
As for Bologna, coach Stefano Pioli has made just one change to the side which defeated Novara at the weekend, with Mikael Antonsson taking over from Nicolo Cherubin in defence.
