Goal.com readers believe Lampard will outlast Villas-Boas at Chelsea

Frank Lampard is more likely to outlast manager Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea, according to Goal.com readers.

Over 57.8 per cent voted in favour of the 33-year-old, who became the first player in Premier League history to notch double figures in 10 consecutive seasons in his last appearance, as is gunning for his 150th league goal this weekend – a first for a midfielder.

The ex-West Ham United man has not been a prominent player since the Portuguese coach took over at Stamford Bridge in the summer but has made a number of key cameos.

Villas-Boas has struggled to win over the Blues faithful and Chelsea currently sit fifth in the league, out of the title race and fighting to finish in the top four.

The former Porto boss won a little over 42.2% of the votes, indicating many still believe the 34-year-old can weather the storm longer than Lampard.

The club remain in the Champions League but a 3-1 defeat against Napoli in the first-leg of the last 16 tie has put their quarter-final qualification in jeopardy.

Chelsea travel to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday on the back of a resounding 3-0 victory at home to Bolton Wanderers last weekend.
