Stevanovic – ‘a very special game’

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic has described Sunday’s Nations Cup quarterfinal clash against Tunisia as “a very special game”.
The Serbian is under pressure to guide the pre-tournament favourites into the medal zone of the competition. Ghana, quarter finalists at the 2010 Fifa World Cup, have been tipped to end a 30-year wait for an African title. But the four-time continental champions must overcome an enthralling Carthage Eagles side at the Franceville Stadium. Stevanovic claims his charges are in shape to pull victory from under the feet of the North Africans. “Tomorrow [Sunday's game] is a very special game. The players are motivated, concentrated, they are at hundred percent maximum. I am sure that my players are ready for that,” Stevanovic said at his pre-match conference in Franceville on Saturday. “We have many reasons to be optimistic because we had a very tough group and finished top.” “For that we are full of confidence and we believe in ourselves for tomorrow,” he added.
