KIA: National Security officers clash with Aviation Security

Some national security officers and security guards stationed at the Kotoka International Airport are said to have clashed this week over whose authority takes pre-eminence over the facility.

The scuffle is said to have broken out after a KIA Security Officer confronted his national security colleague over wrong parking.

A member of airport staff who witnessed the incident tells Joy News one of the national security officers at a point drew a gun.

The witness explains there have been similar clashes between the two parties in the past resulting in some tension between them especially over who has the upper hand when it comes to security issues.

The Ghana Airport Company says the incident is being investigated.
