The much anticipated Happy FM Valentine Mass Wedding finally came off at the Accra International Conference Centre on Tuesday February 14.

The event, which brought together 30 lucky couples in a colourful wedding ceremony, attracted thousands of people including friends and families of the couples who witnessed the beautiful ceremony.

Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, founder of Royal House Chapel who officiated the event, charged the couples to let communication play a key role in their attempts to sort out their differences.

He cautioned the couples to be united in love, adding that unity and oneness of mind coupled with respect for each other was the key to a successful marriage. He urged the couples to let the fear of God guide whatever they did in their respective families.

The crowd went into a state of frenzy when Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Gifty Osei, Ohemaa Mercy, Selina Boateng and a host of others performed their various hit songs live on stage.

The couples were also treated to dinner with close family and friends at the Clever House in Accra.

Highlighting the day’s importance, General Manager of Happy FM, Charles Osei Asibey said the Valentine’s Day celebration was not only about love, but about sharing and caring, adding, “This is why we are sharing in the day of these beautiful couples and showing them and the Ghanaian community at large that Happy Fm cares”.

The Happy FM Valentine Mass Wedding is organised free of charge to registered couples. The annual event is a social investment initiative by Happy Fm to bring relief to couples who dream of having a white wedding but do not have the means to do so. The ceremony is held on Valentine’s Day (February 14) each year.
