Milan to recover players for Arsenal, Cesena

Alexandre Pato, AC Milan

Milan will be desperately scrambling to recover players in time for their Champions League fixture against Arsenal and then moving on to Cesena.

It will be a highly intense week for the Rossoneri as they return to Champions League action in which they are set to meet Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

While Massimiliano Allegri will be working on possible tactics, the medical team and the injured players will be hoping that they can pass the late fitness tests in hope of being included in the squad.

Kevin-Prince Boateng, Alexandre Pato, Alessandro Nesta and Christian Abbiati are the four stars who could potentially make a return; should all go well in the medical rooms.

Sulley Muntari is also set to make a his introduction into the squad, as he will arrive on Monday from the recent Africa Nations Cup to undergo his first training with his team following his transfer from Inter to Milan.

Following Wednesday’s clash against the Gunners, there will be no rest for the Diavoli as they will be thrown straight back into action when they take on Cesena on Sunday afternoon.

The match against Arsenal will be at 21:45 at the San Siro stadium, which will be followed by a trip to Emilia-Romagna to meet Cesena at 16:00 in the Dino Minuzzu ground.
