Tulisa Contostavlos has become a huge name in her own right following her success of The X Factor.

So it was only a matter of time before the North Londoner launched her own solo career.

The 23-year-old confirmed this week she will be releasing a solo single in the next few months.

With her group N-Dubz on hiatus and her recent split from bandmate and boyfriend Richard ‘Fazer’ Rawson, it’s the perfect time for Tulisa

And with her group Little Mix winning last year’s X Factor, Tulisa is already riding a wave of success.

Away from the group, she’s already starred in documentaries and films and released her own fragrance Tulisa TFB (which stands for ‘the female boss’) last year.

Tulisa told London radio station Capital FM: ‘I’ve got my single ready now to release.
I’m going to be shooting a video soon.

‘Haven’t got a set date but I’d
say within the next two months definitely.’

And despite singing urban songs with her N-Dubz bandmates Fazer and Costadinos ‘Dappy’ Contostavlos, Tulisa’s solo sound will be a little different.

She explained: ‘It’s very me but maybe not what people would expect genre-wise. It’s one of those tracks that you don’t get bored of.’

Aside from her solo work, Tulisa is rumoured to be duetting with her ‘little muffins’ Little Mix on a track for their debut album.

Her decision to go solo may have been prompted by her newfound confidence following her X Factor role.

When she first signed on as an X Factor judge, she insisted she had no solo plans.

Her cousin Dappy has already had enjoyed a No.1 single with No Regrets last September.

During their four years in the charts, N-Dubz have had three top 10 hits, including I Need You and We Dance On.
