Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has his heart set on a first-team place with the reigning Premier League champions.
The youngster made his debut for the club this season, and has also featured in every League Cup game for the Red Devils, including a substitute appearance in the 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace last month.
The former Le Havre player says he has matured during his time in Manchester, and is now aiming to kick on and earn himself a regular first-team place.
“It’s very good [here],” Pogba told the club’s official website. “I’m getting in the first team and I enjoy it a lot. I have to carry on and try to play more games.
“[My debut at] Leeds was a great feeling. I played away, in a derby as well, and came on for Ryan Giggs. I thought: ‘Ok, now is a good chance to prove myself and to show them what I can do’. We won that game and it was a very good feeling.
“I told myself I’ve just tasted it, now I want to eat it – I want all the cake now! I want to play, work hard and do my best to get in the first-team squad.”
The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A side Inter in recent weeks, but Pogba insists he is fully focused on life at Old Trafford.
“I think you grow up a lot at United,” he explained. “I came from France. I’m here and I know what I want to do. I want to be a first-team player, a great player here and that’s it. I want to play with the first team.”
