Four players from the Sokoto Football Academy (SOPRA) spearheaded by former Eagles star Tijjani Babangida have interested foreign clubs during a recent training tour of the Czech Republic.

Strikers Yusuf Kila and Cisse as well as midfielders Kabiru Dada and Usman Mohammed have interested Czech club FC Hradec Kralove as well as an undisclosed team in Bulgaria.

“I am happy because the tour was a successful one, because the players were able to use modern facilities and at the end of it all four players of the academy have since been picked by clubs and they will be going back for trials in those clubs in January,” former international Babangida informed MTNFootball.com

The Sokoto Academy, which is fully bankrolled by Sokoto State government, recently returned from a playing tour of Czech Republic with impressive results, drew the first game against Hradec Kralove and demolished FC Zucin 5-1.

Babangida, who is now the chairman of FC Taraba, said he was fulfilled to have exposed the players to abundant opportunities in Europe.
