Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar claims he isn’t thinking about leaving White Hart Lane, but admits he may be forced to leave if he doesn’t get enough games.
The Croatian was signed from Portsmouth in 2009 and has struggled for starts this season, mainly due to injury, but he insists he’ll happily remain at Spurs if he is given a good number of matches.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Kranjcar said: “I have been out for too long to think about a move.
“I said at the beginning of the season that I am happy here and if I get a decent amount of games I will continue to be here.”
Spurs are currently in fourth in the Premier League, level on points with Chelsea and five points worse off than second-placed Manchester United, however, Harry Redknapp’s team have a game in hand on both and Kranjcar feels they could be contenders come May.
“I do believe we can challenge for it,” he added. “The results in the previous games have proven that.
“We are not used to winning the league but the way we are playing and the quality we have in the squad, I believe we can push for it.
“The Christmas period is going to be massive for us and if we can stay in the mix then sure.”
