It is official. All roads lead to the National Theater for the celebration of the authentic Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) 2011 where the crème-de la-crème of the Highlife genre will be on one stage and for one purpose: to thrill Highlife lovers to a never-to-be forgotten night.

This year, organisers of the MOGO concert, Citi 97. 3 FM took the entire program a notch higher by metamorphosing it into a festival which started yesterday with a forum and would be ending on Saturday with a dinner and awards night.

Today Friday December 2, all the ten artistes have promised to hold audiences spellbound with great tunes from their repertoire.

Gurus like George Darko, C. K Mann, Pozo Hayes, Nana Acheampong, K. K Kabobo, Dada KD, K. K Fosu, Nana Yaa and Adane Best would be rocking the stage. Kwame Yeboah and the ‘Ohia be ye ya’ band would be supporting the artiste through the night.

Concert tickets are selling hot and fast and are going for GH¢ 50 at several outlets including at the National Theatre, MTN office at Osu, Silverbird Bookstores and the front desk of Citi 97. 3FM.

The third face of the festival would be the MOGO Awards and Dinner night scheduled for the Alisa Hotel. Some selected artistes would be celebrated and awarded for their immense contribution to the growth of the music industry in Ghana especially Highlife.

The awardees for the maiden MOGO Dinner Dance/Awards Night are Jerry Hansen, Faisal Helwani, Zapp Mallet, the legendary Ebo Taylor, and highlife icon, Nana Ampadu among others.

Tickets for the awards and dinner night are going for GH¢ 60 for singles and GH¢100 for couple.

Come lets celebrate our music heroes in grand style at the Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) festival.

MOGO is supported by Zenith Bank, Logistics Movers, and MUSIGA and sponsored by MTN, Everywhere you go.
