Angola: Football Coach Promises an Attacking 1º De Agosto

    Luanda — The new coach of the first division football team, 1º de Agosto, Romeu Filemon, presented Friday in Luanda to the press and to club members, said he will create an attacking team, aiming at retrieving the club’s history.

    Speaking to the press, the former coach of the national under20 football team said he will organise a group focusing on attack, without damage to the defence.

    He highlighted the greatness of the club and assured that he will fight to retrieve the image of winner the club has.

    The 45-year old sportsman, with a career of 16 years as football coach, said his job with 1º de Agosto is his greatest challenge so far, as he used to work for small teams and with different goals.

    Speaking on the team, he said that within next 15 days he will present the players that will comprise the working group, as well as those leaving the club.

    Romeu Filemon who began working as football coach in Sonangol of Namibe, will have as his assistants Ivo Traça and António Barbosa, as well as João Dombaxi (goal keeper coach).
