A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Bisi Idaomi, has expressed optimism that the on going tour of the 192 wards of the state by the leadership of the party will ensure success for the party in the 2012 governorship election.

Idaomi, who also is the assistant public relations officer of the PDP in the state, told Sunday  Vanguard in Igarra, Akoko Edo during the ward tour that the PDP has all it takes to take-over the state come 2012, adding that the tax regime of the present ACN-led government which, according to her, has  increased the pains of the people will be an advantage to the PDP.

According to her,”you can see the crowd that we have been witnessing since the commencement of the ward tour. You could see the pains in the face of our people as a result of over taxation, demolition of structures without compensation, and factionalization of different groups by this government.

“Yes, we are seeing infrastructure but the prices are seriously inflated and that is why government keeps borrowing money that will make the state indebted for several years to come. We don’t want to mortgage the future of children because of the personal greed of a few.
