2 Partner to promote humanitarian work
Atlantics Trust Holdings Limited, a multi-national company based in Ghana, has partnered the African Rights Initiative International (ARII) to support the organisation’s humanitarian works in Africa.
ARII is an international relief, and development organisation with the core mandate of promoting human dignity and sustainable livelihood in Africa and beyond.
The organisation also provides children with healthcare, clean water, nutrition, education, protection emergency relief among others.
Unveiling the partnership in Accra, the Chairman of Atlantic Trust Holdings Limited, Mr Alex Aseidu, said the support package ranged from office accommodation, monthly support for ARII officials, sponsorship for the organisation’s annual African humanitarian fundraiser, among others.
Additionally, he said the ARII would serve as a charity arm of the company, as well as the implementing organisation for the entire group’s charity works in Africa particularly.
Mr Aseidu expressed the hope that the support would help to lessen the suffering of needy children in Ghana and other African countries.
Mr Aseidu also called on other companies, institutions and individuals to join hands with ARII to achieve its mandate.
In his remarks, the Executive Director of ARII, Prince Oduro Williams, expressed his organisation’s appreciation for the enormous support given them, saying ‘support like this would ensure effective repose to children in time of emergencies, as well as secure the basic right of the African child to life, survival and security.’
