Nana Addo Joins Hon. Annor Dompreh To Mourn Late Father

The two-time flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s immense popularity in Nsawam – Adoagyiri, manifested over the weekend, when he visited the area to attend the funeral of late Chief Inspector Joseph Wilson Kofi Annor [RTD], who was the father of the MP for the area Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh.

The arrival of the former NPP flag-bearer and his entourage at the funeral of the late member of the Busia Administration and Retired Police Chief Inspector suddenly sent the mourners into an ecstatic mood.

The mourners, whom most of them wear in black clothes, holding materials of the NPPs red, white and blue colors, boldly showered praises on Nana Addo when he stormed the Funeral grounds started singing the party’s tunes swiftly turned the funeral into a carnival, as some are chanting on him, ” NO Nana, No Vote”.

Nana Akufo Addo, who cant even get free space to move was overwhelmed by the rousing welcome accorded him by the mourners, raised his right hand to wave the crowd in admiration.

The former two term NPP flagbearer was accompanied to the funeral such as Hon, Yaw Osafo Marfo, former Finance Minister, Mr. Sammy Awuku, the NPP National Youth Organizer, Hon Samuel Atta Kyea, MP for Abuakwa South, with among other prominent members of the party.

The rest were ; Hon Francis Addai Nimoh, Ashanti Mampong MP, Hon Samuel Ayeh Paye, Ayensuano MP, Hon Nana Adjei Boatneg, New Juaben North MP, with among other Members of Parliament and delegation of the Ghana Police Service officials and members of the National Democratic Congress, NDC just to mention a few.

The late Chief Inspector Jospeh Annoh – RTD was born on 16th April, 1943 at Marfokrom in the Kraboa Coaltar of the Eastern Region, and died at the aged of 71, left behind a widow, Eleven children, and twenty grandchildren.

The late Police Inspector, after his education, worked as a typist apprentice with the Ghana Railway Corporation at Tarkoradi until 1964, when he was enlisted in the Ghana Police Service on 1st June, 1964, as he subsequently served many post both in the Eastern Region and the Brong Ahafo Region.

The late Wilson Annoh, met his untimely sudden death on 23rd January 2014, after suffering from multiple of strokes.
