In hot demand: Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi claims 6 nations want him

Less than 3 weeks before he leads the Super Eagles at the FIFA World Cup, Stephen Keshi has reopened debates about his future after revealing that not less than six other national teams have offered him a job.

With the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) not offering him no deal yet though his current contract expires this year, the former Nigeria captain may have chosen his words carefully to sting the country’s football chiefs.

“Six countries are calling on me, so Nigeria will not be the last country for me to coach,” Keshi was quoted by Kickoffnigeria.com.

Despite leading the Super Eagles to the 2013 Africa Cup title and qualifying for Brazil 2014, ‘Big Boss’ has not had a smooth relationship with the NFF, even though both parties recently quashed rumours of cracks in their association.

As a player, Keshi was the captain when Nigeria won the 1994 Nations Cup before leading them to their World Cup debut in USA later that year.

As a coaxh, he previously qualified lowly Togo to their only World Cup appearance in 2006 and has also held charge of the Mali national team.
