The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the Agotime Senior High School has threatened to seize the bungalow of District Chief Executive or the assembly hall of the District if government does not complete school projects that have been abandoned for over 10 years.

The PTA Chairman , Emmanuel Dzageli complained of lack of staff bungalow, library, dormitory for students  and computer laboratory.

He said the boys dormitory which was started some ten years ago have been abandoned.

This the chairman said has made teaching and learning difficult for the teachers and students of the school.

“We have a lot of infrastructure deficits. When students were ejected from the rented dormitories we converted classrooms into dormitories for students with the hope that after completion the students would be moved back.

“Over ten years now all attempts to get the contractor to site to complete the project has proved futile.

He told Joy News’ Ivy Setordzie the government has one month ultimatum to get the contractor back on site.

“We as PTA are giving the government and the Assembly a one month ultimatum. If they fail to produce the contractor to complete the project we are going to seize the DCE’s bungalow or the Assembly and convert it to a dormitory for our students.”

Speaking at the commissioning of the staff bungalow , the headmistress Sylvia Emma Draffor said the school has become a school under tree due to the lack of infrastructure.

She said the environment under which the students learn are not conducive and appealed to government to intervene.
